Secondary Markets Specialist II (HYBRID)
Description
The Specialist II, Secondary Market (Pricing) assists in the preparation, maintenance and communication of mortgage loan daily rate sheets in accordance with credit union policy, as well as developing, maintaining and distributing regular Competitor Rate surveys. This role also facilitates and executes transactions related to Participation Loan Sales.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proactively research, analyze, monitor and report competitive and market mortgage rate data
- Assist Lock Desk with management of pricing revisions on the mortgage loan production pipeline
- Assist with monitoring and tracking target margins applied to rates and prepare loan pricing analysis to provide recommendations for pricing methodologies to achieve profitability targets
- Prepare, monitor and maintain daily pricing of mortgage loans, in alignment with pricing strategies, models and risk parameters; communicate both internally and externally
- Monitor mortgage loan pricing requests from Mortgage team and develop and distribute activity reports as required
- Perform analyses on mortgage loan pricing to identify ROA vs GOS impacts and make magi recommendations to appropriate Committees
- Partner with Capital Markets and leadership to identify potential Participation Program opportunities.
- Lead Participation Pool pricing and bids within established policies, business strategies, and regulatory guidelines
- Research, resolve, validate and communicate operational and systems issues to leadership
- Develop and maintain departmental processes and procedures; identify gaps and recommend improvements
Experience and Education Requirement:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in mortgage lending and secondary markets
- Strong knowledge of mortgage lending practices, processes and regulations
- Ability to anticipate needs and prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high-volume peaks while producing high-quality work
- Excellent business communication skills; able to write/speak clearly and professionally for a variety of audiences
- Ability to foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
- Demonstrated effective time management skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
- Basic knowledge of FHLMC, FNMA and FHA mortgage products and systems
- Familiarity with loan origination software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Target Compensation for Hillsboro, OR: $80,000 - $85,000 plus annual bonus
